Pixel Cubes (2011)

An exploration of the digital pixel, re-imagined into a three-dimensional form. 20 cubes in a box. While top and bottom of each cube is white, each of the remaining four sides are either Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black. Each cube is labeled with a percentage, representing the amount of C, M, Y, or K you see. Percentages increase per cube by 5%, ranging from 5% to 100%.

The 20 cubes were designed as a set that can be used to explore the possibilities within a 4x5 sq px area. The stop-motion animation to the right was made to demonstrate some of those possibilities.
